Deadzone Run privacy policy
Last updated 11 October 2026 · applies to Deadzone Run: Extraction on iPhone, iPad and Android
Who we are. "Bulldozer Studios", "we" and "us" mean Pratik Abichandani, an independent developer trading as Bulldozer Studios. Bulldozer Studios is not an incorporated company; Pratik Abichandani is the data controller. Contact: support@bulldozerstudios.com.
The short version: you don't need an account, a name or an email address to play. Your progress is saved on your device. The game sends data off your device when you play online (multiplayer, leaderboards, events and cloud backup), when ads are shown, when you buy something (handled by the app store), and when it sends a technical error report. We don't sell your personal information.
1. On your device
The game saves your progress (survivors, gear, shelter, settings, in-game balances and your in-game purchase history) in its private storage on your device. Uninstalling the game deletes it, and so does "Reset save" in the safehouse.
2. Online play, multiplayer and leaderboards
When the game connects to our online service, it creates a random, anonymous player ID on your device. You don't need a name, email address, phone number or account. Over an encrypted connection, the game sends:
- For multiplayer (co-op raids and PvPvE): your player ID, display name, the survivor, gear and level you bring, and your in-match actions and results. Our game servers process your IP address to connect you to a match and to other players in it, and use connection quality to pick a server near you.
- For leaderboards and events: your display name and your scores for the daily run, the weekly board, each zone, events and seasons. Names, scores and ranks are shown publicly in the game.
- For cloud backup (while "Cloud sync" is on in Settings): a copy of your save file, so it can be restored after a reinstall or on another phone.
- For fair play: match statistics and reports other players send about you, which we use to detect cheating and abuse.
- Your app version and platform.
Other players in a match see your display name, survivor and in-match actions. A transfer code, valid for 24 hours, links another phone to the same player ID. You can turn cloud sync off in Settings, and solo raids work without going online. The service is hosted by Supabase. We delete players who have been inactive for 12 months. To have your cloud copy and scores deleted sooner, use the data request form and include your transfer code.
3. In-app purchases
Payments are handled entirely by Apple or Google; we never see your payment details. To deliver and restore purchases we use RevenueCat, which receives your purchase receipt, the product, the date, your store country and currency, and a random app user ID that isn't linked to your name or email (RevenueCat's privacy policy). The Survivor Club subscription renews monthly until you cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings.
4. Advertising
The game shows ads, including optional rewarded ads you choose to watch for an in-game reward (for example a flare refill). Ads are served by Google AdMob and the ad networks it works with. To show, cap and measure ads and to prevent ad fraud, they may process your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iPhone, Advertising ID on Android), IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and app information, and how you interact with ads (how Google uses data in ads).
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: before the first ad, the game asks for your consent through Google's consent tool. You can refuse personalised ads and still play, and change your choice later in Settings › Privacy.
- iPhone and iPad: the game asks for permission to track (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, ads are not personalised using your IDFA.
- Android: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in your phone's settings (Settings › Privacy › Ads).
- US state privacy laws: personalised advertising can count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising". You can opt out in Settings › Privacy or by emailing us, and the game honours Global Privacy Control-style opt-out signals where your platform sends them.
5. Error reports
When something goes wrong, the game may send a technical report: the error message and stack trace, the screen and basic game state (for example the zone and mission time), your platform, OS version and app version, and the time. Reports contain no name, email, location, advertising ID or other identifier, and we keep them for up to 90 days. You can view and clear stored reports in Settings › Diagnostics.
6. What we don't collect
Contacts, precise location, photos, microphone, camera, browsing history, or device identifiers beyond those described above. The game uses vibration for haptics, and on iPhone may ask for tracking permission for ads. If we add voice or text chat, we will update this policy before it ships.
7. App store privacy labels
Purchases (RevenueCat, app functionality). Identifiers: user ID (multiplayer, leaderboards, app functionality) and device ID (Google AdMob, third-party advertising, and tracking where you allow it). Gameplay content (save data, match data), user content (display name) and other data: scores (app functionality, shown publicly on leaderboards). Usage data and advertising data (Google AdMob). Crash data (app functionality, not linked to you). Approximate location derived from IP (AdMob, advertising; game servers, server selection).
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EEA and UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict how we use it. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. To use these rights, email support@bulldozerstudios.com or use the data request form. We reply within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
Our games and website are not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the "last updated" date, and update the App Store and Google Play disclosures before the change takes effect.
