Mercy Protocol
Every cure has a cost. Every survivor is evidence. A turn-based tactical horror RPG. Your three-person crisis team enters a sealed biotech island to find a missing audit team, and finds out the "monsters" are failed patients of a miracle healing system.
Footage from the playable 3D prototype (Chapter 1). Greybox art; final art is in production.
Isla Santelmo didn't die in the storm. It was saved.
Asterion Life Systems ran a private biotech charter city. When Typhoon Rendang breached containment, someone triggered MERCY PROTOCOL at 02:31: an order for the regenerative Mercy Engine to keep every life going, using any biological material it could find.
What came out are the Convalescents: people who can't fully die, fully heal, or fully remember who they were. You arrive ninety-eight days later under Recovery Contract 914.
The central question: is survival still mercy if the person becomes something else?

Concept art: sets the direction, not final
Three people, one body
You always field exactly three. If someone goes down they bleed out on a timer, a late revive leaves lasting trauma, and losing all three ends the mission. Mara wants to save it, Raf wants to burn it, Elena wants to understand it.
Dr. Amara "Mara" Veyra
Trauma surgeon who fights with sidearms and precision.
Triage Instinct: healing +30% and cures one extra status. Surgical Shot: a guaranteed hit that sedates instead of dealing damage.Rafiq "Raf" Dizon
A skeptic with a shotgun, on the island looking for his brother Joaquín.
Hold the Line: −25% frontal damage, half of that for adjacent allies. Breach: destroys doors and soft cover, or pushes an enemy 2 tiles.Elena Kovac
Systems engineer, drone operator and enemy analyst.
Deep Scan: shows the enemy's next action for 2 turns. Kestrel Drone: scan, taunt or shock up to 6 tiles away. The drone has 1 HP.Every bullet is a decision
No resupply, and reloading costs an action. Before you commit a shot, a two-tap confirm shows hit chance, damage, facing bonus and ammo cost. Move around the target and watch the odds change.
Illustrative 70% base hit. The modifiers are the real ones from the combat design.
Every enemy was someone
Scan a target to learn where it came from, what it's weak to and, sometimes, its name. Then choose. Each choice has its own cost, and it all goes into the Triage Ledger: an append-only record that shapes trust, dialogue and which of the five endings you reach. There's no good/evil meter.
A dockhand is kneeling between the containers, praying. "…Liway. Papa's here, Liway…"
Tactics that remember
Phase-based grid combat
3–6 tiles of movement plus 2 action points per character. Half cover gives −25% to be hit, and a flank cancels it.
Facing matters
Flank: +10% to hit, +20% damage. Back: +15% to hit, +50% damage. Enemies turn to face you before the first shot.
Ammo you can feel
No resupply. Reloading costs 1 AP. Overwatch spends ammo at −15% accuracy. The counter turns amber at half and red at 3 rounds.
The island learns
It adapts to how you play: heat-resistant tissue if you lean on fire, cranial plating if you go for headshots, and in the end a Mimic of your most-used character.
Evidence as currency
Documents, logs and samples can be spent, traded or held back. Which endings you can reach depends on the evidence you keep.
16 status effects
Each one has a cause, a cure and a way to exploit it. Bosses like the Warden can be talked down instead of killed.
From the playable prototype
Real captures from the 3D prototype. The art is greybox placeholder, but the rules, the encounters and the choices are already in.
Where the art is headed
Direction boards that set mood, palette and silhouettes. They aren't final assets; where they differ from the story bible, the bible wins.
No ads. No energy. No gacha. One story.
Mercy Protocol is planned as a premium game: play the prologue (Chapters 1–2, about 90 minutes) for free, then unlock the full campaign with one purchase. No pay-to-win, ever.
Status: a tested, playable prototype covers Chapter 1 and more. A native release on Android, then iOS, is in production. Prices and dates will be announced before release.
